What if I have never cross stitched before?
Cross stitching is a wonderful pastime and everyone has to start somewhere. You will always remember your first sampler. I can supply additional instructions for any new or less experienced stitchers and will happily deal with any queries. The feedback I receive is that my designs are rewarding for beginners. A typical design includes lots of individual motifs and elements so it is possible to feel you are making good progress as letters and motifs are completed.

What is the difference between Counted Cross Stitch and Tapestry?
Counted Cross Stitch is normally created using six stranded cotton threads and you cross stitch onto aida or evenweave fabric following a graph chart. Needlepoint or tapestry is normally stitched in tent stitch using tapestry wools on printed canvas. However, I also include some items in my collection stitched in Victorian cross stitch using thin crewel wool as a meduium to stitch on blank canvas following a colour graph chart.
